An eyelift, or blepharoplasty, is cosmetic surgery to remove excess skin and muscle from upper and/or lower eyelids. This procedure also removes fatty tissue causing lid fullness or “eyelid bags”. It can improve vision in patients who show obstruction of vision due to excess eyelid skin.
The procedure is most commonly done in conjunction with a browlift.
